Modified Start for 2024/2025 School Year

Hello grade 4-5-6 parents of R.I. Baker!!With our grade configuration changing and other changes in the wings, we are going to try a different modified start to next year's school year.  We will start the year with every homeroom operating on day one and day two, we will just have half the students in the classrooms.  This will give teachers the opportunity to have more individualized time with the students on their first day.  Our hope is this relieves some of the first day jitters with more individualized time with staff and the new school routines and processes.  The schedule is based on the first letter of your last name. 

The schedule will go as follows:

September 3rd, 2024
Grade 4 (last name starting A through L)  Line up NE doors BLUE SIGN
Grade 5 (last name starting A through L)  Line up NW doors GREEN SIGN
Grade 6 (last name starting A through L) Line up West doors RED SIGN

September 4th, 2024
Grade 4 (last name starting M through Z)  Line up NE doors BLUE SIGN
Grade 5 (last name starting M through Z)  Line up NW doors GREEN SIGN
Grade 6 (last name starting M through Z)  Line up W doors   RED SIGN

September 5th, 2024 and forward
Grade 4 (All students)  Line up NE doors BLUE SIGN
Grade 5 (All Students)  Line up NW doors GREEN SIGN
Grade 6 (All students)  Line up West doors  RED SIGN
